Read Exodus 2:7-10 again. Moses was not an orphan. And as for him having a brother: his brother could have been born before or after Pharaoh's restrictions.

When I read Exodus 7:1 just a few weeks ago I had to think about it for a while. It doesn't say "I will make you God." It says "I will make you _as_ God." As in, God will give Moses power over Pharaoh, and Aaron will speak for him.

You say: "Now God didn’t want to kill the Israelites firstborns (and He wasn’t sure which ones they were, even though He favoured them heavily)"
:p I assume you realize that God had other reasons for making them do it.

Here is an example of where reading the New Testament helps to put things into context... When Jesus came he said that the specific rules of the Sabbath did not need to be followed exactly. I can find the passage if you'd like.

If you're reading the bible just to make fun of it, you may as well read it all in order. But if you're really reading to understand what I (and other Christians) believe, then it would be best to read the New Testament.
