Toronto says Jesus sucks!

Kenny (on the left), from the show Kenny vs. Spenny (where two roommates challenge each other to different reaching competitions each week to avoid humiliation), paid for a plane to fly a banner with the statement “Jesus Sucks!” over downtown Toronto recently as part of a challenge.

That’s fine, however, a BC Conservative has now filed a human rights complaint over the banner. There are many issues with Canada’s Human Rights Tribunal, and the ability for someone 4119 km away from a (lightly) offencive banner to file hate crimes charges is one of them.

There are many other sites that will complain about the Human Rights Tribunal, however, most are from the political right (due to the Ezra Levants and Mark Steyns).  For now I’ll leave the issue, but I will be returning to these issues (especially regarding the book The Secular Conscience that I just finished).
