I saw him from the sidelines as well. He and the whole Lib continent were drab and uninspired… pretty typical. They got little attention from the crowd and the whole endeavour did little for them. Typical for the Libs. He should have campaignd in Sask or Man where they have a shot at a seat.

I was walking the parade WITH Michael Ignatieff so you can’t tell me he didn’t show up.

Ian: I was in the parade with the EBC, just behind the Liberal Party’s march (you can actually see one of our members – Sarah, I think her name is – in the link Dave posted. Just before we left Whyte, we overtook them (due to parade flow being split by medians, the order got shuffled up). I didn’t get a good look at them while they were behind us, but as we were passing, Iggy was certainly there. I didn’t see anyone join after it started, so he was probably there the whole time and you just missed him. (Understandable – they were all wearing white and just marching, with nothing distinctive except Iggy to call attention to their group.)

By the time we had stopped and began to coordinate our after-parade plans, the Liberals had already dispersed into the crowd at the end-of-parade party. I’d heard several of our members talking about standing there and staring at him, forcing him to shift his eyes uncomfortably elsewhere, but I didn’t partake (as I was helping set up the facilities at the bike shop).

Weird, I saw the whole parade from Walkabout Pub and didn’t see a single Grit walk by. Perhaps they joined half way up Whyte or something? It felt like the parade was short (but I am used to Calgary Stampede Parades).
