I've never really seen them go after someone for their "patriotism" or nationality. The Tories, on the other hand, have already launched an Ignatieff "Just Visiting" campaign that questions his nationality. This seems to fit closer to that message. The attack radio ads the NDP played in January against the Liberals attempted to play their backing down from the coalition as a weakness (since they weren't standing up for Canadians), not Iggy's personal record.
