I think Harper's real luck is that he never got a majority. If he had gotten his much vaunted majority he would have made so many far-right decisions by now he would have no hope of re-election. The opposition could have opposed everything Harper did, thus removing their rather wishy-washy public image. Thus I think it is Harper's apparent bad-luck regarding his hoped-for majority that his been his real 'good-luck.'

It does seem that Sweater vest Steve has 9 lives, doesn't he? Is it possible though, that the long census form debacle could be the incident that takes the last life? I'm not that optimistic, but I think Steve must be starting to get nervous.

In spite of some incoherent articles from Sun Media and the Blogging SupposiTories, Iggy's bus tour is getting positive reviews; good turn outs. I went to one of the events as well as many of my friends and aquaintances and all said the same thing. I don't know when the last Harris Decima poll that was released today was taken, but as Steve continues to screw up (long census or otherwise; perhaps Helena Guergis could make waves? Or who knows what else? ) and if Iggy just continues the course for the rest of the tour and basically ignores Steve and the Sun Media crowd, (and perhaps Mr Apps could go away for awhile would certainly be a bonus) It would certainly be interesting to see how this translates into polling numbers at any given poll for any polling firm.

I know that seniors who generally vote con are turned off by Steve's decision to scrap the long census form.
