Harper’s days are numbered!

Although you have to wonder about the NDP not getting either deputy-PM or Finance (I didn’t think we needed finance but neither?) and that we only got 25% of the seats on the new cabinet.
Nevertheless, this is exciting news for progressive Canadians. And for the rest of you: No election for 30 months (2.5 years) – unless the Bloc take a chance. Also, it’s still not clear who’s going to be PM, but it’ll definitely be a Liberal.
Deputy PM would have been a natural choice, indicative of a strong commitment to working together. I’d have to see whom they decide to appoint to guess as to their reasoning for keeping it Liberal.
Still, I’m holding out to see who they propose for Environment — Linda Duncan is quite arguably the strongest choice in either party for that, and would be the ultimate kick in the pants to the inactivists.
I think it will be Dion as the PM, or “interm PM” until the Liberal leadership race decides a new leader for the Liberals, in which case that person should assume control of the PM position.
I think you are thinking like sukrat, but I think you should cover the other side of the topic in the post too…
